We need to make ourself known as the leader by the dog at the first moment it arrived at home, cause dogs are pack animals and following a leader. We can leave the dog into kennel and don’t play with them if it disobey our command with uncontrollable behavior as punishment for a short time. Treats and rewards still good method for dog train an older dog. What need to be concerned is we need to be more strict to the rule. Praise and reward only good response and not at all with negative one. It’ll help the dog learn quicker and easier to understand the command given during the dog train. Using dog train equipment like a lead and a buckle is good option to have on obedience training. If the dog is uncontrollable it’s better to use the training collar.
Place to train also affect the dog train result. Try to do the dog train at quite area so the dog will not be distracted by any noise around him, it will make the dog more easy to understand and following our order. Using the same hand signal and word is important in dog train so the dog not confused by multiple command and misunderstood them.
When we don’t have so much time to do the dog train at home we can choose having formal dog school with professional trainer inside that having so much experience in variety dog breeds and dog train method. Placing the dog at boarding kennel when we are going outside town also good choice to made. Some boarding also have a daily care kennel at our working time.
