When building your own pet kennels there are few things to consider. Decide how big the pet kennels will be for your dog. Dog house floor can be covered with sleeping pad or blanket to keep the dog warm and comfort when staying inside the dog house.

Placing a windbreaker and heat lamp in dog kennels also helpful to fight the changing weather. Locate the pet kennels near shady tree will keep the dog from overheated during summer and hot day. Put the pet kennels on higher ground to prevent the snow or water getting inside the dog house.

Place the kennels to the spot that easily viewed from inside but keep them away from the main door to avoid distraction from outside the house like people and other animal or dog which can  cause barking problems that disturb the neighbors.
